James Benn, author of the popular Billy Boyle World War II mystery series, will lead a discussion of his book, Freegift on

The book is a Revolutionary War tale set in southeastern Connecticut. It follows the formerly enslaved Freegift Cooper, who discovers his father is the notorious traitor, Benedict Arnold.

Copies of the book are available for checkout at the three Groton libraries, and books (Freegift and Billy Boyle mysteries) will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
