2026 New Bilingual AWE Stations!

The Bill Memorial Library of Groton has replaced its outdated early learning & literacy (AWE) stations with new, bilingual Spanish models. Funding for this venture was generously provided by the Chelsea Groton Foundation, Turn to the Wonderful, the Mystic Woman’s Club, and Charter Oak Federal Credit Union.

AWE stations are child-friendly computer stations jam-packed with educational games. In addition to providing kids access to developmentally appropriate learning games, the Bill Memorial Library’s new AWE stations are bilingual, with games in both English and Spanish. The AWE stations have no access to the internet, which keeps kids safe. The new AWE stations are installed in the children’s room, where they can be used any time the library is open for visitors.

In this ever-changing world of technological advancement, the Bill Memorial Library is ensuring that its youngest patrons have access to the best in educational technology, while making sure that they’re safely learning their 3 R’s and having fun doing it!
