2022 Bill Memorial Library Awarded Capacity-Building Grant

CT Humanities awarded BML a capacity-building grant that will allow the library to provide fundraising training to their Board of Trustees, Friends of the Library group and staff members.

The training, which will begin this month, will be facilitated by consultant Melissa Combs of Combs & Co. in Farmington, CT. After a review of the library’s past fundraising efforts, Combs will work with stakeholders to improve the library’s existing fundraising process and look to future fundraising opportunities. The training will be completed by December 2022.

“We are very grateful to CT Humanities for giving us this opportunity,” says Wendy Connal, the library’s director. “Our hope is to increase our fundraising success so we can continue to serve our patrons and community to our highest capacity.”
