Take Your Child to the Library Day

Visit the library on Take Your Child to the Library Day, Saturday, February 3, 2018!

Children and their families can stop by during regular hours for cookies and a cup of hot cocoa and make a winter craft to take home. Complete our library scavenger hunt and our chocolate trivia challenge to earn a prize. The library will be giving away a jar full of chocolate to the lucky winner who comes closest to guessing the correct number of pieces in the candy jar. Get in on the fun! For more information call the library at 860-445-0392.

Take Your Child to the Library Day is a grass-roots event first suggested by Nadine Lipman, Children’s Librarian at the Waterford Public Library, with over 100 libraries in the state and beyond currently participating. The Connecticut State Library is co-sponsoring this event along with the Connecticut Library Consortium and the Connecticut Library Association.
