ANIMAL EMBASSY PROGRAM AT THE BILL MEMORIAL LIBRARY THIS SUMMER!

Kids in grades 1-5 are invited to join us Wednesday, August 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bill Memorial Library in the City of Groton for an Over the Moon Animal Adventure presented by Animal Embassy. Join Animal Embassy on this nocturnal journey through the fascinating night life of the animal kingdom! We will explore the night-time activities and adaptations with live Animal Ambassadors such as a Spectacled Owl or Indian Peahen, a Red-eyed Tree Frog, a Red Foot Tortoise, a Mojave Ball Python, a long-haired Rabbit and a Solomon Islands Monkey-Tailed Skink or New Caledonian Giant Gecko!

Teens entering grades 6-12 in the fall are invited to a Black Light Party at the Bill Memorial Library in the city of Groton, CT on Thursday, August 8th at 6:00pm to celebrate the close of summer reading.  Join us for an evening of games, crafts, music, and snacks.  This event is free and no registration is required.  Please call the library at (860)445-0392 if you have questions.

The Bill Memorial Library in the City of Groton invites kids in grades K-5 to make out-of-this-world Galaxy Crafts on Tuesday, July 30 between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Stop by and make a stellar masterpiece to take home. Complete a trivia quiz to earn a chance for prizes.

This craft program is part of the library’s A Universe of Stories! 2019 Summer Reading program.

On Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:100 a.m., the Bill Memorial Library, at 240 Monument Street, Groton, CT, will be hosting the Common Ground Community Café.  This program will provide residents an opportunity to meet and enjoy a cup of coffee with City of Groton Police Chief Michael Spellman  and other members of the City of Groton Police Department.

The aliens are invading at the Bill Memorial Library in the city of Groton, CT on Tuesday, July 16th at 6:00 pm!  Teens entering grades 6-12 in the fall are invited to an Escape the Room adventure at the Library as they seek to stop the alien invasion and save the world.  Participants will solve mental puzzles to escape the room and save the planet.  This event is free for all teens.  Registration is required.  Please call the library at (860)445-0392 to reserve your space.

The Bill Memorial Library in the City of Groton will host Ed Popielarczyk’s Magic Show on Tuesday, July 16 at 1:00 p.m. Join us for an entertaining and amazing performance where audience participation and fun are a MUST!  Ed Popielarczyk’s Magic Show is part of the library’s A Universe of Stories! 2019 Summer Reading program.
