Seeking Teen Volunteers for Haunted Library!

Attention all Teens in grades 6-12! The Teen Advisory Board of the Bill Memorial Library in The City of Groton is looking for volunteers for our popular Haunted Library fundraiser. If you are an actor or actress, creatively minded, or someone who loves to help out, then we need you! There will be an informational meeting for all interested volunteers on Thursday, September 12th at 6:00 p.m. at the Bill Memorial Library. We will be talking about this year’s Haunted Library event, "Murder in the City”. Participation in this event can be used to satisfy community service requirements for school or scholarship opportunities. Library hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M

Fabulous Fall Storytime!

The Bill Memorial Library in the City of Groton invites families to our Fabulous Fall Story Time beginning Monday, September 16 at 10:30 a.m. This interactive program is open to ages 5 and under with caregivers and features fun stories, song time with live music, finger plays, puppets and movement. Story Time is held every Monday at 10:30 a.m. through November 4, with no session on October 14. No registration required; for more information, please stop by the library or call 860-445-0392.

Common Ground Community Cafe: Coffee with City and Town Councilors

Join the Bill Memorial Library, on Saturday, September 14, 2019, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, as we host the City and Town of Groton Councilors. Come meet and connect with our Councilors, and have the opportunity to learn about and ask questions and provide feedback about recent city and town business. Coffee and refreshments will be served at this informal event and registration is not required. Please contact the Library at 860-445-0392 for more information.

Cultural Banquet for Families!

Want to get a taste from around the world? Join us at Bill Memorial Library’s Cultural banquet, hosted by Samantha Maiolo and Jannatul Anika, this year’s teen interns. On Thursday, August 15th from 6pm to 8 pm, we invite families to come share their heritage by bringing in their favorite dish. There will be food, activities, and fun demonstrations to learn about different cultures from around the world. Admission is free but registration for the event is recommended.
