Friends of the Bill Memorial Library

The Bill Memorial Library is a privately funded public library. Funding comes from generous donations from community members, income generated from an endowment left by Frederic Bill, the city of Groton, the town of Groton, and the Friends of Bill Memorial Library. We depend on the generosity of individuals and organizations for a large part of our budget.

About the Friends

The Friends of the Bill Memorial Library is an organization that works to subsidize some of the library's needs and wants. We are made up entirely of volunteers who recognize that a library budget can always use a little more. The money the Friends raise is used in many ways by the library, including buying new materials and furniture, paying for programs, and keeping your coffee supply full.
